In “Fouled Anchor Chronicles – A Sea of Stories,” after my Vietnam War experiences and first sea duty tour, I unknowingly chart a life course that takes me through powerful, unique episodes, much like a harsh tide caught between the planet’s most opposing forces: land and sea. I must navigate changing, often turbulent circumstances, from harmony to chaos, while striving to be a devoted husband and father. This collection of sea stories shows my growth through demanding and unforgiving times that are adventurous, challenging, sometimes ominous, and occasionally humorous, revealing a vast and often seemingly empty path that ultimately guides me to my destiny.

Fouled Anchor Chronicles is not a memoir but a fictional autobiography that covers about eight years of my Navy career. The stories included are a mix of facts and fiction, with some embellishments of various events, like a series of sailors’ sea stories. All characters are fictional, and I crafted the dialogue between myself and each character. I hope it will be an interesting and fun read.
